Baceline In The Community

September 28, 2017

We are committed to fulfilling our mission of investing in our communities, not only within the cities our properties are located, but in our own local community of Denver.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

On January 26th, Baceline employees had the honor of cooking and serving dinner for families and children that were living at the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Denver.  The Ronald McDonald House offers a home away from home to families needing to be near their seriously ill or injured children while they’re being treated at Denver area hospitals. The Denver location has 73 private rooms with bathrooms serving thousands of families 365 days a year. The meals provided allow families to unwind, de-stress and fortify their bodies to be at their best for their child in the hospital. The greatest honor came when we were able to sit down and share a meal with these families. Many of our staff found themselves assisting in feeding children and getting to know the families.  A very rewarding experience to say the least!

Arrupe Jesuit High School

For the 2017-2018 school year, Baceline is excited to welcome two new and two returning high school students to our staff. Through Arrupe Jesuit High School’s unique corporate work study program, students work for Baceline one day a week as our front desk receptionist to help pay for their private school education. Our students learn the tools to be successful in the work place by fulfilling an entry-level position at our firm. With the addition of corporate work study to the standard classroom setting, this innovative Denver high school makes a college preparatory education an attainable goal for a diverse group of students who otherwise would have never had access to that opportunity. Last year 86% of the graduating class of 2016 were the first in their family to attend college; 50% were first to graduate high school. This is Baceline’s 6th year participating as corporate work study partner, and we are excited about getting to know our new students this year! When you call our main office line, you will most likely be speaking to one of the following students:

Hurricane Relief Efforts

The nation has watched over the last few weeks as Hurricane Harvey and Irma decimated parts of Texas and Florida.  These destructive storms have impacted millions of Americans and Baceline wanted to do something to help. Through a portfolio wide campaign, we have asked our tenants to partner alongside the Salvation Army and make a donation towards those who have been displaced by the storm. Although no Baceline properties were directly damaged by the storms, we stand together in solidarity with the communities that were tragically affected.

Aveia Jones, Baceline’s Dallas Property Services Manager, facilitated the collection and distribution of care packages to those in need. Furthermore, our Denver office gathered basic non-perishable supplies to supplement Aveia’s efforts. Our commitment in helping those at this time aligns with our Baceline mission of “giving back to the Heartland communities we serve”.

On August 21, 2017, one of the biggest astronomical events of the century, the solar eclipse occurred. Crossing from Oregon to South Carolina, viewers within the path of totality, experienced the moon completely covering the sun, darkening the sky and revealing the stars hidden in atmosphere. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Baceline promotions and events team coordinated an eclipse party at Four Seasons, a Baceline property located in O’Fallon, Missouri. Eclipse-themed food was served, a local radio station did a live broadcast and drones few overhead bringing the community together to witness this once in a lifetime event!
